Teen Driving School: Successful Completion Results in OR Driver's License
Learning to drive is a major milestone, but it often comes with a mix of excitement and nerves for both teens and their parents. Mastering the rules of the road, building safe habits, and gaining confidence behind the wheel takes time and practice. Our ODOT-certified course is designed to guide students through this process step-by-step. Teaching practical driving skills in the car and in the classroom, we help new drivers develop lifelong safety habits and successfully earn their Oregon driver’s license

Teen Individual Driving Instruction
Some students may not have the ability to commit to a 6 week driving school due to other time commitments. For those students I offer individualiozed driving instruction to help them prepare to get their license through the DMV rather than getting their license through my driving school. This process typically takes 4 weeks but can take longer based on individual circumstances.

Experienced Drivers & New to U.S. Driver Instruction
Looking to brush up on your driving skills? You are not alone. Driving in your later years presents different challenges than in your younger years. I can help you develop skill sets to address changes you may be experiencing.
If you already drive but are new to the United States, the challenge is not learning to drive from scratch—it is learning a new driving culture, new rules, and new expectations. In our sessions, I
focus on helping you “translate” your existing skills into the U.S. context.

Meet Jim Luthi
I spent 25+ years in the software industry. The majority of those years were spent working remotely for Silicon Valley technology companies. I reached a point where I wanted to spend my time making a difference in people's lives and impacting my local community. Having raised three wonderful kids (now adults) with my wife of 30+ years, I know the stress parents feel each time their young drivers leave the house. I'm also aware of the dangers. Helping drivers in the Portland area learn the skills that will help keep them as safe as possible is my way of making a difference in my local community.
